Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
We are located on Longboat Key. Depending on traffic, we’re a pleasant 30 minute drive along the Gulf, from both downtown Sarasota and downtown Bradenton. Our address is: 5540 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key, FL 34228
Directions From Bradenton or Anna Maria Island:
From Bradenton, take Cortez Road heading west. Once on the island, make a left on Gulf Drive and follow it heading south. Pass Coquina Beach and head over the Longboat Key Bridge. Once you are over the bridge, head south for three miles and Euphemia Haye will be located on your left-hand side. You will make a left on Gulf Bay Road which is just past the restaurant. On the left side of the street, you will see our parking lot that is located just behind our building. (If you pass the restaurant, you will see a set of yellow flashing lights over the road where the fire station is. If you come to those lights you have gone a block too far.)
Directions From Sarasota:
From St. Armands Circle, take the first exit off of the circle which is 789N to Longboat Key. Follow the road up over the bridge. Once you are over the bridge, you will drive seven miles north on Longboat Key. Our restaurant will be on the right-hand side of the road. You will go through two sets of yellow flashing lights over the road which is where the fire stations are. Just after the second set of lights, make a right on Gulf Bay Road and that will essentially put you in our parking lot which is behind our restaurant’s building.
What type of cuisine do you serve?
American, global, eclectic, some say continental or internationally-inspired, we like to call it “Ray’s Cuisine” – creative cuisine at its best. Our signature dishes include Crispy Roasted Duckling, Prime Peppered Steak and made-to-order Caesar Salad. Entrées include the freshest Florida seafood, prime beef and a wonderful assortment of daily specials such as veal and sweetbreads. All of the pies, breads, pastries, soups, sauces, dressings, are homemade on the premise. Entrées are priced a la carte and range between $27 – $68. View our menus.
Do you have vegetarian, gluten-free or healthy dining options?
Whatever dietary needs you may have, we want to make everyone’s dining experience at Euphemia Haye a pleasant one. We have several vegetarian options on our menu and if you would like your entree prepared “lighter” with less oil or butter, please let your server know and we will do our best to accommodate your requests. If you are gluten-free, please tell your server and he or she will point out the gluten-free options that are available on our menu. For those with nut allergies, we can create dishes for you that don’t contain nuts, but please note that nuts are utilized in our kitchen. Gluten-free customers, please note that gluten-free items are prepared in a kitchen that utilizes wheat and other glutens.
What is proper attire?
The attire in the Euphemia Haye main dining area is Dressy or Business Casual. While jackets and ties are not required, some men do wear them. Nice jeans or resort-style shorts are fine when paired with a dress shirt. Jean shorts, t-shirts, flip-flops and hats are not permitted in the dining area.
Upstairs in The Haye Loft, the dress code is Business Casual.
Can we bring our own bottle of wine?
There is a $25.00 corkage fee and a $10.00 decanting fee if you bring your own wine. If you are going to bring your own wine, please note that the wine you bring in cannot be a wine we already offer on our award-winning wine list. There is a $15 charge to bring in a bottle of non-alcoholic wine.
Is there a children’s menu?
We do not have a specific menu for children; however our chefs are very good about making dishes that children love like pasta with butter sauce or chicken strips. Upstairs in our Haye Loft, we serve gourmet pizzas and a sandwich special nightly. Please note that the pizzas and sandwich are not served downstairs at our main Euphemia Haye restaurant, only upstairs at The Haye Loft.
Do you have high chairs?
Yes, we do have one high chair downstairs at Euphemia Haye and one high chair upstairs at The Haye Loft.
Can I reserve a specific table or room at Euphemia Haye?
We will note your table request on your reservation and do our best to fulfill that request. However, even with the best of intentions, the evening may play out differently than we have planned and tables may have to be shuffled around. For that reason we cannot and do not guarantee any requests.
Do you have a room for a private party?
Yes, we have a private dining room located in our downstairs dining area that can be reserved for a private dinner party and the lounge area upstairs in the Haye Loft can also be reserved for a private party. For more information on these places, please see our reservations page.
Is there an elevator to your upstairs Haye Loft and Dessert Bar?
Unfortunately, we do not have an elevator at our restaurant. There is a staircase with handrails on both sides that leads upstairs to The Haye Loft.
Can I order food upstairs?
Yes, The Haye Loft has an abbreviated menu consisting of appetizers, salads, our famous roasted duckling, gourmet pizzas and our nightly fresh fish and sandwich specials.
Can I make a reservation for The Haye Loft?
We do not accept any reservations for The Haye Loft. However, guests who are having dinner with us in our downstairs restaurant do get preferred seating upstairs in the Dessert Room. So if you are dining downstairs and would like to go upstairs for dessert, please let your server know and he or she will reserve a table for you upstairs in the Dessert Room. Please note that seats in the lounge area cannot be reserved.
Do your gift certificates expire?
